GIANFRANCO FERRE’ AND THE OTHER FASHION ARCHITECTS
The Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferrè was an architect. He often used to say: “The design of a dress, a piece of furniture, a house or a city, all follow the same process”
Internationally renowned fashion designers such as: Pierre Balmain, Romeo Gigli, Thierry Mugler, Virgil Abloh and others as well, were also architects

MY INTERACTIVE WORSHOPS
The course I intend to develop aims to offer a unique and concrete opportunity to immerse, both emotionally and technically, in the fascinating world of tailor made bag creation, and in the subsequent phases that lead to the sale of the product. Purpose without which the aforementioned creation would be a pure, and perhaps even useless, exercise of style
The reasons of the Workshop lie in the fact that people will have the opportunity to learn the profession directly from me that, having my own trademark, I have to face and manage the real and concrete dynamics of the world of work, and I have a global knowledge of the product being taught
In addition, people will be encouraged to learn a universal modus operandi that will apply to other merchandise categories
LEARNING BY DOING
I give heavy emphasis on people engagement and is a hands-on, task-oriented, process to education
I prefer the process in which everyone actively participate in more practical and imaginative ways of learning
HOW DOES IT WORK
The workshop offers an overview to the art of designing bags and selling them. The topics covered will be the following: 1) The evolution of the bag over the years, 2) The global vision of the product: market, ideation, communication, set design, and sale, 3) The design inspiration, 4) The choice of materials, 5) The creation of the paper pattern, 6) The prototype and subsequent modifications, 7) The registration of the trademark, 8) The presentation of the storyboard, 9) The design of a spectacular display and its set design, 10) The set design of the store and its visual merchandising, 11) The set design of the shop window, 12) The models’ outfit, 13) The selection of the place for the shooting, 14) The set design of the catwalk, 15) The fascination of the message, 16) The sale strategy
